Profile

I am Claire Le Michel, a writer and performing artist with over three decades of experience. Based in Parthenay, France, I founded the dance and theatre company La Compagnie Un Soir Ailleurs in 1995 to bring poetry to the stage through a unique blend of words, movement, and diverse art forms. Over the years, I have created nearly 30 multidisciplinary works, often performed in natural spaces, with the support of local authorities and collaborations with talented artists.

As a writer, my work draws deeply from personal experiences, including my 2016 book, Je suis le fils de la femelle du Kiwi, inspired by my magical childhood connection with a garden. I also lead workshops in theater, dance, and writing, working with a wide range of audiences, from students and professionals to marginalized communities. My passion lies in exploring the voice of living beings through my art, connecting deeply with nature and humanity.
